Personal Stories

"Being seven years old, the idea of having cancer was something I didn’t understand. I didn’t know that it would be a part of my everyday life, even after being in remission and being cancer free. I had to mature at a very young age and had to learn how to function in a place where I was limited physically. Going through treatments and surgeries is something that’s going to affect me forever, whether I like it or not, but that makes me stronger and that makes me braver. I’ve learned so much through my experiences and troubles, but now almost sixteen, I feel like I can do something with the things I’ve gone through. Whether that be educating others or advocating for kids like me, I feel motivated to live my life to the fullest." Harrison (Childhood Cancer Survivor)
